Molly is 4 weeks old today and the time has flown by. She is such a good baby, especially because she is already sleeping through the night. For the past week she has been sleeping for about 7 hours at night but the other day she slept for 8!!!!!! So as long as I feed her right before I go to bed I get a full nights rest, which I desperately need. When Ethan was a baby he would wake up exactly every three hours which wasn't bad at the time because I just had him to take care of. This time around I'm so happy to have such a good little sleeper I just hope it is a trend that will
continue.
Ethan loves trains so we went to Homestead park to play and enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having lately. It was such a nice day and Ethan had a fun time at the park.
Molly just slept the whole time.

Reflections of Christ

My sister-in-law sent me this link and it is so amazing that I had to share it with everyone. The images and music are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Watch this video with your family, it really brings the spirit.

Stickers anyone???

Ethan loves stickers (if you can't tell by the picture.) He usually prefers to have them only on his hands but yesterday he ran out of room, so they ended up in a few other places including on myself, Scott and even Molly.
Also a few of you mentioned wanting to see more pictures of Molly. Well last week my amazing and talented cousin Darcy came and took pictures of my sweet little girl and they are really cute. If you want to view them check out her website at the link below.

Thanks Mom

My wonderful Mother left to go back home yesterday after a week long visit and we miss her already. It was so nice to have her here to help out, and my house has never been cleaner. We especially loved all the fun presents she brought. Although it was a pretty boring week just basically sitting around she was such a big help with Ethan and Molly we wish she could have stayed longer. Despite Ethan's face in the picture he had a lot of fun playing with grandma and keeps asking when she is coming back. Thanks for everything Mom we love you.

This is my Day

I remember doing it when Ethan was born, I just sat and watched him sleep all day long. When he was older I remember thinking, "how could I just sit and stare at a baby all day long, especially when they are just sleeping?" Well I'm doing it again and I LOVE IT!!! I love just holding her and staring at her. That is, when I can get my hands on her. Most of the day she is with her daddy. Scott has nicely informed me that he is in Love with another woman. I suppose if it was anyone else I would be jealous but I love watching the two of them together. It is pretty cute how smitten he is by her and can you blame him. I think she is so perfect and I especially love it when I can get her to smile.

She is so sweet and perfect, we can't get enough of her. Ethan likes to tickle her and laughs at all her funny noises, Scott just wants to hold her all day, and I just love everything about her.

Match Day..... Round TWO

Today was the big match day!!! And Riverside Hospital, right here in C-bus is where we matched. YEAH!!!! Kind of a bit anti-climatic for us (since we were the lucky ones who found out two months ago where we are going for residency) but still exciting. We still got to be included in all the fun festivities and celebrations though because we matched for our transitional year today. At Ohio St they have a big assembly where they give all the med students an envelope containing their fate for the next 4 years and they make everyone wait to open them all at the same time. I was actually more excited to hear where all of our friends were going since we had a pretty good idea we would be sticking around here for this next year. I am so happy and excited for everyone that matched! Congratulations to all!
As happy and exciting as today was for everyone, it is also a bit sad. Over these last four years we have been fortunate to have so many wonderful friends and I am going to be very sad when everyone moves away. We have had such a great time out here all through med school and it is strange to think that it's almost over. We are really going to miss everyone!!! (Luckily a few of our friends matched in Columbus so we don't have to say goodbye to everyone just yet.)
Okay, this is a really random picture but it is too funny not to post. After we got home from all the parties today the sun was still shinning and it was like 45 deg!!! Which in the words of Jessica Olsen, "40 is the new 80" (at least for us northerners that have had a long winter.)
Anyways it was pretty nice out so of course we had to play outside and this is the outfit that Ethan came up with, all by himself. He found those awesome glasses earlier in the day and would not take them off. He loves that they are heart shaped and rockin' one lens. I just couldn't stop laughing at how funny he looked in them.

GREEN

In Celebration of St. Patrick's Day we had a GREEN breakfast this morning. My dad would always make us a green breakfast on St. Patrick's Day and I really liked it when I was a kid, so I thought I would carry on the tradition. We had green eggs, green waffles, and even green milk. Ethan helped of course and he really liked turning the waffles green. I don't think he fully understood the concept though, because when it came time to color the eggs he wanted them to be blue and he really wanted the milk to be purple AND red! (is that possible?) But once it was all done and he was eating it there were no more complaints about color. I learned that for a 2 year old everything tastes better when it's green. For the rest of the day he has been asking me to turn all his food green and he now only wants green milk. In order to conserve my food coloring I was able to successfully convince him that white milk is still yummy. It was really fun and apparently we have a new tradition that we will have to do every year in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
