Ethan had a great time this year and really got into the whole "trick-or-treating" thing. He was so excited he was practically dancing. He especially loved all the candy he got.

In case anyone forgot!!!! Go Bucks!

Halloween is hard work!

He was very proud of the purple sucker.

Carving

Last night we carved a pumpkin for FHE. Let's just say it's not the best looking one on the block, but Ethan really liked it.
He loved pulling out the guts and saying "Ewww Yuck!"

Jimmy MacElroy & Chazz Michael Michaels

I want to give a shout-out to my brother Cody and his wife Jen. They went to a Halloween party where the theme was famous couples and they won first prize for their creative costumes of Jimmy MacElroy and Chazz Michael Michaels. Plus it is just way too funny I had to put it on my blog.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Boo at the Zoo

This weekend we went to "Boo at the Zoo" with Brian & Annie and Ethan's friend Julia. It is really cute, they have the whole zoo decorated for Halloween with lights and trick-or-treat booths for the kids. Ethan was a little nervous about some of the stuff but definitely not the candy. He pretty much ate candy all night. We had a good time and Ethan got lots of practice at saying "trick-or-treat." He is all ready for Wednesday night.

The night before that we went to a Halloween cookie party with all the Med friends & kids. It was fun to see everyone since we have all been so busy with fourth year and we haven't gotten together in a while. All the kids looked so cute in their costumes.

Ethan really liked eating the sugar cookies until I introduced frosting and then he wanted nothing to do with the cookie, he only wanted to lick the frosting off the top. He put his cookie on the ground and licked the frosting like a puppy dog. It was pretty funny.

San Diego

Scott's parents were in town this past weekend and on Saturday we went to San Diego. It was a beautiful day, almost too hard to believe that only two days later people had to evacuate the area because of fires. Anyways we spent the day at the wild animal park and then headed over to Oceanside to see the sunset and play on the beach. It was such a fun day and Ethan had a great time, (except for when nap-time rolled around.) He loved all the animals, especially the Gorilla's. We took him on an African Safari and he got to ride on a tram, which he thought was very exciting.
I think the beach was his favorite part of the day because he always loves the beach. How can you go wrong with all that sand and water. Dad and Grandpa helped him race the waves, luckily I brought an extra pair of clothes. It was such a fun weekend having Scott's parents in town, we are glad we got to spend some time with them before we head back home.

Out of Control

These fires in California are out of control. They say it is the worst it has ever been. I just want to say to all of my friends or family of friends or basically anyone that has had to evacuate or suffered any damage because of the fires, our prayers are with you. Luckily none of the fires are near where my parents live. The only real effects we have felt is the nasty smoky air. It is hard to breath when you go out side, so I haven't been letting Ethan go out, which he is not too happy about. We are supposed to be leaving on thursday so hopefully our flight doesn't get cancelled. Anyways I really hope they can get things contained soon.

The Pumpkin Patch at Live Oaks Farm

My whole family was in town this weekend (except Brad) and it was so fun to see everyone. Ethan loved having so many people around, but he especially loved playing with his cousin Joce. The two of them were inseparable, they have so much fun together. The pictures below are of the pumpkin patch. Ethan is obsessed with pumpkins so he had a really good time. We went on rides, feed the animals, and of course picked a pumpkin. When Ethan was feeding the animals some got a little aggressive and were basically attacking him, he thought it was hilarious.
For the rest of the weekend we mainly just hung out at home and watched a lot of football, (because that's what the Sorensens do) listened to Trev's funny stories, and ate lots of food. It was a great weekend and of course it went by too fast.

Yellowjackets

Ethan went to his first Colton High School football game on Friday to watch his Uncle Danny play. Ethan was actually really good for almost the whole game, even though he wasn't that interested in watching the game. His favorite things to watch were the marching band, the cheerleaders, and he especially liked the Bee mascots. Hopefully he has just as much fun next week.

Grandpa's boys

Ethan, Morty, Tippy, Tubby, & Little Guy

My parents have four tortoises that live at their house and Ethan loves to help Grandpa take care of them. My dad calls them his "Boy's" (which I always forget that he is talking adout the tortoises and think he is referring to my brothers, very confusing.) Anyways, Ethan likes to feed them and he sometimes picks them up and carries them around, which is not good because it usually ends with him throwing a tortoise at the ground, thankfully they have hard shells!! When the "boys" are out crawling around on the grass Ethan likes to crawl around with them, and if they are moving too slow for him he will try and help them along by giving a few pushes. It is pretty funny to watch him interact with the tortoises but he needs to work on being a little softer and not so ruff.

Big Bugs

Ethan has been really into bugs lately and so we have been wanting to go to Inniswoods Metro Parks all summer. They have giant wodden statues of all different kinds of bugs. We finally made it right before we left for Cali. Ethan loved it. Scott got a pamphlet while he was there telling all about the bugs and it is now Ethans favorite book. He really likes the grasshoppers, which he calls "Hopper." (From bugs life the movie)

Month in CA

Well we finally made it home for a visit and this time for more than a few days. Scott is going to be working at Loma Linda hospital for the month of Oct. so my parents get a little more crazy at there house with Ethan and I get a little break. It is going to be fun, my Dad is already in heaven with Ethan around and Ethan is loving all the attention. We have only been here for two days and already when he gets sad he cries for Grandpa instead of mommy, it's so cute.
