Balloon Closet

In between interviews we found time to celebrate daddy's birthday with a pretty awesome party. Complete with golf cake, balloons, and "glow-in-the-dark dance craziness". What more could you ask for. The kids had a blast. And if you were wondering what we did with all the balloons once the party was over....

We have a sort-of "mini mud room" by our front door. It is really more like a small closet. But the nice thing is that you can shut the door. We filled it up with balloons today and it provided hours of fun! Literally!!! I'm actually a little annoyed that I never thought to do this before. What a great idea, I think every mom needs to try this. And I think I'm going to stock up on balloons and make this a weekly thing. After they got tired of running around they did this....

And if all the pictures and videos weren't enough, Molly finally got a much needed hair cut and grandma has been asking for a picture. Here you go Grandma, Molly's cute hair with an extra touch of sass :)

Trick-or-Treat

Happy Halloween! The kids had a great time trick-or-treating tonight, especially Mitch. He was very serious about trick-or-treating . . . all business, and determined to get a bucket full of candy. Don't even think of touching his bucket. His tiny fists were clenched so tight we had to pry it away. Molly decided last min that she wanted to be a lady bug instead of a princess. Good thing we had a lady bug costume. And Ethan did a great job of describing who "Chris the Wild Kratt" is. If you don't know, just ask him, he will tell you all about it.

fall crafts

I made this wreath a few weeks ago and I really like it. It feels a little weird putting it on here because I'm sure everyone has already seen it in pinterest, which is where I got the idea.

This sign is my new favorite thing. 1. I love pumpkins and have quite a collection of them. 2. I salvaged the wood from the tree lawn so it was free and already perfectly weathered. 3. This took about 5 min to make. All I had to do was wipe the board clean and give it a quick sand around the edges.

Fall bonfire

Thanks to the Loveless fam, we had a perfect night roasting hotdogs, smores, and apples.

ballerina

Every monday when Molly has ballet she wants me to fix her hair "fancy." Since every other day hair time is a struggle, I like to take advantage of her willingness. I have been experimenting with different "fancy" hair-do's, sometimes they work and look cute and other times not so much. But this weeks was my fav so far.

When she first started ballet she was a little nervous and apprehensive about the whole thing. But she is starting to really enjoy her ballet class and getting much more confident each week. I love the picture on the bottom R where she is picking her nose.

random fall

Fall this year has been kind of a disappointment. Two words RAIN & MUD!!! I feel like it has been raining for a month straight, and it has been so cold. Which has put a damper on our usually gorgeous fall. But today was beautiful, which was a nice reminder of why I usually love fall. But despite the weather we have still managed to have some fun.

Mitch still loves to play outside, on those rare days that it's not raining. He is definitely 3rd child and absolutely cannot be left out of anything! It's pretty funny to watch him try and do everything he sees the rest of us doing. He is always getting into things and making messes. I don't have a picture of it but on Thurs I caught him in front of the TV eating from the tub of Nutella, and it was everywhere. How he got it and got the lid of is still a mystery? But I love my Happy Boy.

Molly is still loving school and has been busy with soccer and ballet. And since Mitch doesn't like to be left out she enjoys having someone she can boss around while playing barbies and dress-up.
Ethan is doing great in school and has been such a good helper at home. Since he is gone all day I feel like we hardly ever see him. But we try to have fun on the weekends. Above he is showing me his "game face."

Always busy in Utah

Last week we went to Utah and it was crazy-busy, as usual. It was so fun though, especially since we got to see just about everyone from both families. (Trevan and Adam you were missed)

Here are a few reasons why it was such a fun trip:

2 BYU football games

1 SUU football game

2 Baby showers

1 Return Missionary

Lots of family time

playing with cousin non-stop

toy store with Grandpa H

Glow-in-the-dark party/adventure with Grandpa K

A reunion with my oldest/bestest friend Julie. It was so good to see your beautiful face. (I still can't believe we didn't get a picture to document the event. We are quite a site with 3 kids each.)

Here is our trip in pictures

Welcome Home Elder Yeates!!
