Michigan again....
We drove up to Michigan this weekend because we weren't cold enough down here in Ohio. Scott had a transitional year interview so we stayed at Todd & Michelle's and the kids couldn't have been happier. Our weekend was full of kid centered activities, of course, and Ethan, Hannah, and Rylee loved every second of it. We went to a few different indoor play places and on Sat we went swimming(also indoors.) The weird thing that happened this weekend is at the swim place someone stole Ethan's shoes!!! My question is who steals a two year olds shoes? The thief even took the time to remove the stinky socks that were stuffed down inside. Hopefully who ever took them needed them more than we did. We tried to get Ethan to wear Rylee's shoes for the rest of the time but he wanted nothing to do with her purple butterfly shoes so instead he just went without. He really has so much fun with his cousins every time we get together that it is always so sad to leave.

Deja Vu
Our Christmas

We had a long but much needed Christmas break where we did a lot of traveling and got to see almost all our family. We went to Utah for a few days and then drove down to Vegas to spend Christmas with the Sorensen family. It was fun to see everyone and Ethan and Joce had a great time tearing up the house and all the presents. All the guys & Mom went to the Las Vegas bowl, while I recovered from a 7hr drive (we hit some bad traffic) We had a fun Christmas and Ethan got so many presents!!! After x-mas we headed back up to Utah to spend the rest of our break with the Yeates. We went sledding, bowling, swimming, and Scott went skiing. Ethan could not have been happier playing with his cousins. It was so nice to spend the holidays with family because who knows when it will happen again. We just wish we could have gotten to see everyone.

Christmas cookies? Just give me the FROSTING!!!
Ethan had so much fun making Christmas cookies tonight, especially the part where he got to throw flour on the table,......and the chair, and the floor, and pretty much every surface of my kitchen. He found the cookie cutters last week when we were getting all the Christmas stuff up and he has been talking about it ever since. Of course once they were made and we decorated them he only cared about the frosting that was on top.

Waiting for Winter
I never thought I would EVER say this, but we need some SNOW!!!!!! After playing outside all summer and fall Ethan just doesn't understand why we aren't out playing with friends. If you look out the window the sky is blue, the grass is green, and the sun is shinning. The only problem is that it's FREEZING!!! I'm sure in a month or two I will regret saying this but if we are going to be trapped inside all day we might as well have some snow. Ethan loves his new snow boots and can't wait to break them in. He wears them around the house all day everyday.

Finally Finished
This clock was supposed to be Octobers craft and now almost December I am finally done!!!! For some reason I just couldn't get it right so I re-sanded it and started over FOUR times. Scott was getting a little annoyed with my obsessiveness and I have to say I was too. If it wasn't for the fact that we had company for thanksgiving I might still be working on it. It was a lot of unnecessary work but I am happy to say that I am done and it is hanging on my wall and that is where it will stay.(even though it's still not quite perfect.)

It's a.......
Well I'm sure by now most of you already know, but for those of you who don't we are expecting another little Yeates on April 2nd.(I'm sure if you have seen any of the pictures of me on here lately you probably figured it out anyways because it has been pretty obvious for a while now.)I am 20 weeks and I'm feeling really great, besides the fact that I am already huge. The sad thing is I know what is coming (more huge, gigantic, and one day I'll wake up ginormous)But it's worth it.
So on to the big new. We had an ultrasound today and are absolutely positive that we are having a GIRL!!! We are so excited. I was a little surprised because I was very convinced that it was going to be another boy, but Ethan has known all along. Every time I asked him if he wanted a baby brother or a baby sister he always said baby sister. Now I just have to gear up for girl mode because we have been all boy around here for a long time. It is exciting and I can't wait til she gets here.

Tag
Okay, So I have been tagged twice now. (by Lezlee & Jenny) I was trying to avoid it, but I figured I better just get it out of the way so nobody else tags me.
According to Lezlee, I am supposed to list 7 things about myself that are interesting. This was hard!! I must be pretty boring because it took me a very long time to think of anything,(Scott had a good time coming up with ones for me, just none that I could use) so, in no particular order here goes...
1. No matter how hard I try I have the complete inability to wink. I have practiced my whole life and have never been successful. I have come to the conclusion that it is just not possible, but it is probably pretty funny to watch me try.
2. I met my husband at a Mental Hospital (haha he was the patient.) It was the State Mental Hospital in Provo Ut and at the time he was working in the physical therapy dept. and I volunteered. We kept our relationship a secret until we were engaged. It was kind-of funny to pretend that we hadn't just been out all night together the night before, but still a little strange at the same time.
3. When I was sixteen I broke my leg pretty bad playing soccer. I was in a cast all the way up my leg for 3 mo. and because of that injury I suffered superficial nerve damage to the inside of my left ankle. Meaning that if you smack it really hard it stings like thousands of tiny needles poking into it and the sensation lasts for a long time, but if you touch it lightly or scratch it, I cant feel anything. It is hard to explain, basically it doesn't feel normal.
4. I can't remember the exact number but I have been bungee jumping at least 15 times. Once in a bathing suit, which is something I DON'T recommend to ANYONE. (Julie you know what I'm talking about.)
5. I love to sleep in. I am not a morning person, and I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so it is very difficult for me to wake up in the morning. I have been known to sleep through alarms and Scott jokes that we could have a dump truck in our bedroom and I still wouldn't wake up. I've gotten much better since Ethan was born. It's a work in progress.
6. I really like scratching backs. For some reason it is relaxing for me. Unfortunately for me my husband doesn't really like it and it is a rare occasion when he lets me.
7. Fact: My mom really liked to sew when we were younger.
Fact: I am the only girl out of six kids in my family.
Result: My mom and I wore matching dresses to church until I was 15 yrs old. Although it is now 10 years later this is something I am still being teased about.
