random fall

Fall this year has been kind of a disappointment. Two words RAIN & MUD!!! I feel like it has been raining for a month straight, and it has been so cold. Which has put a damper on our usually gorgeous fall. But today was beautiful, which was a nice reminder of why I usually love fall. But despite the weather we have still managed to have some fun.

Mitch still loves to play outside, on those rare days that it's not raining. He is definitely 3rd child and absolutely cannot be left out of anything! It's pretty funny to watch him try and do everything he sees the rest of us doing. He is always getting into things and making messes. I don't have a picture of it but on Thurs I caught him in front of the TV eating from the tub of Nutella, and it was everywhere. How he got it and got the lid of is still a mystery? But I love my Happy Boy.

Molly is still loving school and has been busy with soccer and ballet. And since Mitch doesn't like to be left out she enjoys having someone she can boss around while playing barbies and dress-up.
Ethan is doing great in school and has been such a good helper at home. Since he is gone all day I feel like we hardly ever see him. But we try to have fun on the weekends. Above he is showing me his "game face."

Always busy in Utah

Last week we went to Utah and it was crazy-busy, as usual. It was so fun though, especially since we got to see just about everyone from both families. (Trevan and Adam you were missed)

Here are a few reasons why it was such a fun trip:

2 BYU football games

1 SUU football game

2 Baby showers

1 Return Missionary

Lots of family time

playing with cousin non-stop

toy store with Grandpa H

Glow-in-the-dark party/adventure with Grandpa K

A reunion with my oldest/bestest friend Julie. It was so good to see your beautiful face. (I still can't believe we didn't get a picture to document the event. We are quite a site with 3 kids each.)

Here is our trip in pictures

Welcome Home Elder Yeates!!

There's a hole in his mouth!

Ethan has had a loose tooth for a few weeks now, but just the other day I noticed that his new tooth was already growing in. So I told him that tonight was the night that the tooth needed to go.
He was really brave and actually pretty excited, because he will be the first kid in his class to loose a tooth and mark it on the tooth chart. He let me twist it out and didn't even cry! So brave.

I had been meaning to make one of these tooth pillows for a few months now. Thankfully it was actually really easy and I had everything on hand. (seriously so easy, it only took about 30 min.)He was so excited to go to bed but wanted to make sure that the "tooth fairy" could find his tooth, so he wrote a note. It says "The tooth is down here" So cute.

School LOVE

School finally started and it has been ALL smiles around our house.

My boy, all grown-up and riding the bus. It is seriously so cute to see how excited he is. He loves riding the bus, and always sits by the window and waves to me.

On her first day, she couldn't decide if she was excited or not. But after I picked her up she couldn't stop talking about all the fun things they did. She also loves having Ethan gone for part of the day and keeps telling me how nice it is to eat breakfast, or go to the store, or drive in the car....etc. with-out Ethan. But she is always happy to see him again at the end of the day.

big Girl

School is starting late for us this year and my kids don't officially start until this wed. We are soooo ready to start though, and have been for a few weeks. This is Molly on her orientation day. She is just such a big girl now, I can't get over it. Her preschool is awesome!!! It is going to be so much fun for her and saying she is pretty excited about it would be an understatement.

It's starting to feel alot like FALL

It's September! Summer is officially over and Football season has begun. Which around here means we get to spend our Saturdays with friends, lots of food and plenty of Football.
(I made Cougar football treats AND Tunderbird football treats. Thank you Julie for the Y cookies, they were a big hit.)

endless summer

I feel like summer is slipping away from me and I'm helpless at stopping it. School starts in three weeks and I almost feel panic to pack in every ounce of summer we can. Don't get me wrong I am SOOO excited for the kids to start school and get back on a routine, but school means that it is fall which means winter is right around the corner. And that is just straight depressing :( I'm just not ready for that yet. I still want it to be HOT!!! at least for a little longer.

But we have been doing a good job of enjoying the SUN while we have it. Pool, park, zoo, Popsicles, and lots of ice cream cones. I think we need to move to a climate that is always summer Today we went to the zoo and Ethan got to feed Travis the giraffe. It was pretty cool. Mitch was hilarious today because he would point and say "whoa" to every animal he saw, then would wave and say "bye" as we walked away. He really loves animals and it is so fun to see how excited he gets.

Baby talk

Mitch "talks" all day long. He has fully joined the competition of "which child can be the loudest" and most days he is the winner. My favorite thing he is doing right now is "reading." I love watching him grab a book and babble on and on as if he were reading. And I finally got it on video. He also loves to play with cars. He litterally has either a book in his hands or two + cars at all times of the day. He is such a funny little guy.

Some of the words that he is saying right now are: Mom Mom Mom....(until he get's what he needs), Dadda, Hi, Bye (always with a wave), go go go, Ball
