Planning my trip now

I have always wanted to go to Spain. I always tell Scott that he is going to take me someday when we can afford it, and he just laughs.

Actually my little bro is currently serving a mission in Malaga, Spain and I'm always telling him he is on mission vaccation. Not that he is a slacker or anything, (he is working really hard and I'm very proud of him), but every picture he sends home is just so amazingly beautiful. He lives right by the beach, and in one of his area's the house he lived in even over-looked the ocean. Does it get any better than that! I guess maybe for a missionary that might make things harder, but I personally don't think he has anything to complain about. I guess I'm just a little bit jealous cause I'm wishing I was somewhere on a beach right now. Maybe one day I will get to go.......We love you Elder Sorensen.

What animal are you?

So my son likes to assign members of our family to be different animals. It is a game he plays quite often, so this morning while getting ready for church he was telling me which animals he had chosen for the day. Our conversation went something like this;
E: "I'm a giraffe and Daddy is a tiger."
Me: "What's Molly?"
E: "Molly's a turtle."
Me: "What's Mommy?"
E: "Mommy you're a butterfly....no you're a Buffalo."
Me: "are you sure I'm not a butterfly."
E: "No you're a buffalo!!!"
Me: "I want to be a butterfly."
(By now he is laughing hysterically)
E: "No mommy you're a buffalo!!!"
So I guess I'm a BUFFALO.......what animal are you?

SMILE

Molly is 8 weeks today and she smiles all the time. I have been trying to capture her beautiful smile, but unfortunately my camera is soooo slow. After taking what seems like 100 pictures this is what I got. Still pretty cute, but I have yet to get one of her full-on smiling. No worries I will just keep on trying, that's the beauty of digital!!!!
I love this picture! I Love my little girlie!

Happy Mother's Day

I can't even begin to express how much I LOVE these kids!!!
I love how happy Ethan is every morning as he bounds into my room and jumps on the bed to say "good morning Mom."
I love the sparkle in his big brown eyes.
I love his curiosity, (even though it often gets him in trouble.)
I love how quick he is to forgive, and how he's ever more quick to say sorry.
I love how excited he gets when he learns something new.

I pretty much love everything about Molly, she is such a perfect little angel.
I love the cute faces she makes.
I love that she has started to smile.
I love what a good sleeper she is.
I love holding her and kissing her a million times a day.

I love watching them grow everyday.
I love that they are mine, and I'm so thankful to be a Mom.

"Big fat juicy ones, long slippery slimy ones..."

Ethan found some new friends while helping me plant our flowers the other day. WORMS!!! He named every worm he found "squirt" and proceeded to tell everyone that walked by our house all about them. He would chase after people shouting, "I've got a worm." Ethan and "squirt" were such good friends that Ethan carried him everywhere. I started to feel bad for the poor little worm as little by little he was smashed to bits. I can't complain too much because the worms provided hours of fun. It must be a boy thing, give them a shovel and some dirt and they are happy. I just hope I don't start finding little "squirts" around my house.

Ethan took "squirt" for a bike ride.

Looking for more worms.

The Hills

Hocking Hills that is. We went camping with some friends this week, ohio style. It was so much fun hanging out with our friends and hiking around hocking hills, which is absolutly beautiful. We stayed in some sweet "cottages", roasted marshmellows, and Ethan loved throwing sticks into the fire (go figure). We are already planning our next trip.

Bye Bye Grandma

Posted by Picasa
Grandma B left yesterday after spending a few days with us and we were all so sad to see her go, especially Ethan. (He was in tears because he really wanted to get on the airplane and go with grandma.) We had a fun time though. We went to the zoo, the park and the Franklin Conservatory to see the butterfly exhibit. But mostly we just hung around enjoying baby Molly.

Beautiful Butterflies

We all went to the Franklin Park Conservatory to see the butterfly exhibit and it was beautiful. I loved seeing all the different kinds of butterflies and how beautiful they really are up close. Surprisingly though Ethan, who normally loves spotting butterflies when we go on walks, was actually quite nervous around the butterflies. I think it was partly because of their size and the fact that they were everywhere. Or maybe because they would flutter right up by your head or swoop in out of nowhere, but it was funny to watch Ethan jump and run away screaming when one got too close. I never would have guessed he would be afraid of butterflies. He did however love the fish, and after we left he talked about how much he liked the butterflies for the rest of the day, so at least I know he wont be having nightmares. The other cool part about the conservatory is the Chichuly sculptures that are on display. They are pretty amazing.

"Just call me Doctor"

Congratulations Scott!!! My hubby just finished his very last day of Medical school...Forever! I'm so proud of him. It was a lot of hard work and long hours and he is so relieved that it's finally over. No more paying $100 a day to go to school. I wish I could say no more call but unfortunately it has only just begun.
