re - bound

I've been trying to do a little packing everyday. Unfortunately for the kids I've already packed up half the toys and more than half the books. (let me just say it has been so nice to have 1/2 as much junk to clean-up everyday, and they haven't missed any of it. I think we might even keep the toys packed after the move too.) So since I was packing books I finally got around to "fixing" all the broken ones. Duct tape has so many wonderful functions, I love it!
The picture above doesn't even show all the books I had to "fix." Some were broken beyond repair so into the trash they went. Many others are missing a few pages (M likes to eat books!) I think every book we own has at least one piece of tape on it!
My kids LOVE to read!!!

HaPpY eAsTeR!!!!!!

We had a really FUN/CRAZY weekend! And now that it's all over I just want to leave all the dishes in the sink and plastic eggs on the floor and go straight to bed. Unfortunately dad was working ALL weekend, so he missed all the excitement. Yesterday we went to the city egg hunt, which was crazy as always, but this year seemed worse. Luckily no one got run over by a stroller and we made it out alive with 2 eggs ea. The kids were happy to find that the Easter Bunny left them some presents! And I really enjoyed cleaning up the plastic "grass" that was ALL over the house!!!! Literally, it was everywhere!

Tonight we had some dear friends over for our traditional Easter dinner. It was so fun to get together, especially since there might not be too many more chances before everyone moves :(
(I've hosted Easter every year we've been in OH except last year and that was only cause Molly was born 3 days later. Anyways we had a much smaller group this year then in the past and to our friends that have already moved on, you were missed tonight.)
We did another egg hunt for the kids (since yesterday was such a bust) and they all loved it. Especially the candy part!!!!!!!

E had WAY too much candy today. i kept telling him "No more candy, you've had enough!" Once when I heard him opening more candy I reminded him that I said no more and he told me "Mom, I'm just going to LOOK at it!!!" haha yeah right! nice try buddy.

Oh how quickly they learn

So after only 3 mo. of primary E has already learned all the "right" answers. When ever we drive home from church I always ask him to tell me what he learned about in his class. His answer always used to be... "Um, I don't know."
Well a few weeks ago when I asked him what he learned in church he said, "I learned about Jesus, Joseph Smith, and the Holy Ghost." This has since become his answer for every church related question I ask him. Yesterday after Conference while we were eating dinner,
I said: "E what did you learn today?"
E "I don't know"
Me "Did you listen?"
E "NO"
Me "Can you remember anything that was said?"
E " Uuuuh, Holy Ghost!"
The look on his face was absolutely priceless because you could tell he just pulled it out of no where and was hoping I would say he was right.
I had to laugh, how do they pick up on this kindda stuff so quickly?

Big girl

Molly loves the new view.
A few days ago we finally put her in the "BIG" car seat and she laughs hysterically when ever we drive somewhere now. Even though she thinks she's big now she still looks little to me. She went to her one year appointment today and is still in the 50%. Weighing in at 21 lbs. and 30 inches.

Molly turned ONE today!
But the party started last night...
After dinner we sang happy birthday and ate cake. And Molly got her very own. I thought she was going to dive into it and devour, but she was very hesitant.
Maybe she got too full on mash potatoes at dinner or maybe because it was almost bed time? But whatever the reason she didn't really like the cake too much. She took a few small bites and then just started spitting it out.
Even though she wasn't that excited to eat the mountain of sugar in front of her she still had fun playing in it.

The party continues...
This morning she woke up to find pink balloons and presents.
We hurried and opened all the presents before Daddy left for work.
She loved all the new toys, especially the new baby dolls, but her favorite present was all that wrapping paper. Yum!
She loves pushing around her new stroller
I made her the little tu-tu and she loves wearing it and touching it. She thinks she is a little princess in it.

We had a lunch party with friends. We invited Molly's two best friends (and Mom's and Bro & sis) over to play eat lunch and have cupcakes. It was such a fun way to celebrate my little sweeties first Birthday.

Ethan was glad to have cupcakes and friends over too, because he was not too happy that Molly was having a birthday..... "I just want it to be my birthday" he told me in his best whinny voice. He also said that he was going to kick M's b-day out the door so that his b-day could come in.

Happy Birthday to my sweet angel baby!
This past year has gone so fast but it has been so wonderful. My little gal brings me so much happiness that it's hard to put into words. She is the sparkling sunshine in our home and I couldn't imagine my life without her.
I LOVE her smile, it is practically a permanent fixture to her sweet face.
Her laugh makes me laugh.
She has the cutest little walk (shuffle) and is perfectly happy to walk around the house laughing to herself ALL day.
She gives the best hugs. Seriously, she's like a little koala.
Adores her brother and doesn't mind when he knocks her down or steals her toys.

what we've been up to...

We have been staying busy lately. Swimming lessons, the Zoo, parks, playing outside with friends, and loving the gorgeous spring weather we've been having. I know, it sounds hard to have so much fun everyday... but we have to somehow make up for all the hours spent indoors this winter.
I LOVE SPRING!

DUNDEE

We went on a little weekend get-a-way to Dundee, MI. What you've never heard of it? Than you are missing out!!!! It's a little town on the border of Ohio and Michigan, exactly half way between our house and our cousins. So when both Dad's happened to have the same weekend off we jumped at the chance to spend some time together. Pretty much the only thing Dundee has to offer is an indoor water park that is attached to a hotel, (besides the Jerky outlet and Bob Evans of course.) Anyways we spent two days playing and swimming with cousins and it was a blast.
